blogging profit - 2nd In A Series: Blogging For Profit-Article Marketing: The First Way To Get Traffic To Your Blog

This is my second article on blogging for profit. In my last article, Blogging For Profit, I discussed how blogging could be used to generate a crazy income. This article is going to concentrate on taking your blog to the next level. I am going to discuss the first FREE technique to direct traffic to your blog, Article Marketing.

Article Sites:After you get your blog up and running and are ready for traffic, the easiest way to generate traffic to your blog is to write articles (much the same way I am doing here). There are literally hundreds of FREE article sites. Some of my favorites are www.goarticles.com, www.ezinearticles.com, www.amazines.com, www.articlesbase.com, and www.articledashborad.com, just to name a few.

Compose: Open up a Microsoft word document (or other publishing software of your choice) on your computer and begin your article. This is an important step, as you will ultimately want to publish your article on several of the article sites above. Having a word document will allow you to copy and paste your article to these sites with great ease. Use correct grammar and spelling. Make your article "looks professional". By following these minor (and obvious) points, your article becomes much more credible.

Title and Body Of Your Article: Once you find your niche, pick an area of interest where you have some expertise. Put yourself in the position of your reader. What would they be interested in? What concern would they have that you might be able to address? There are a couple of keys to get your article clicked on. You need to come up with a title that would catch your reader's interest. Again I refer back to the statement that you need to concentrate on finding a concern or solution to a problem and build your title around that concept. Use the keywords (discussed in my previous article) in the title and in the first paragraph. This will help your article move up in the search engines ranking.

The Summary Paragraph: End your article with a hint of mystery. People like to be led to the "next step." This is where you also have your link back to your blog (more on how to create a "click able link" in my next article). This link is how you get people to visit your blog so it is important that when a person clicks on your link it actually goes to your blog (this is an important step and is often over looked until it is too late).

Finally, the biggest obstacle of blogging is to just get started. Even if you have never written a single thing, start by writing what ever is on your mind and soon you will soon be blogging your way to profits. My next article will address how to add a clickable link to your article. Until then, take a look at a couple of my blogs:

blogging profit - 2 Sources Of Free Blog Traffic That Still Works Today

To earn revenue from your blog, you need traffic - alot of it. With a small flow of traffic to your blog, you will be destined to days and days of little to no earnings, and the possibility of your blog failing. But with a hefty flow of traffic to your blog, you will have the benefit of sunny days and a happier state of mind as your chances of earning money dramatically increases.

There are many ways to get traffic to your blog. Lazy marketers love the idea of only advertising to get traffic to their blog - which can be a good strategy - if you know your conversation rates and understand the math of your business. However if you dont, then you will have a few short days of comfort from all the traffic that your blog is getting, then the eventual shortage of traffic after all of your funds are depleted.

Luckily, there are tons of ways to get alot of traffic to your blog that doesn't cost anything at all. And in this article, I'm going to share some of those ways with you.

Never do something if it doesn't make sense to you. If you see a competitor in your niche advertising someplace month after month, and you know that ad slot is expensive, dont automatically assumed that you can succeed doing the same thing. You have no idea what the mechanics of their business is, and what things they're doing behind the scenes to make their business profitable.

If you're not willing to do everything that they're doing to make your blog profitable, then you will have a tough time on your hand when your blog sales doesn't recoup your advertisement investment.

Many beginner bloggers and novice internet marketers make the mistake of assuming that free marketing methods can't bring alot of traffic to your blog the same way that paid advertising can. I myself was guilty of this idea 5 years ago when I first got started, and I found myself spending endlessly on pay per click campaigns with very little sales - but eventually a failed business.

Everytime.

And this happened for 3 years straight, until I finally got with the program and built my business from the ground up. It doesn't matter how you get traffic. All that matters is if you're making enough income to pay your rent and bills. After you have the sufficient income to do that, if you want to be a guru of some sort, then I guess you have the option of doing so.

But you cant start the other way around and expect to see satisfying results. Therefore right now, I'm going to share with you 2 of the same free traffic techniques I used (and still use) to get traffic, and that benefit me greatly in my online marketing efforts. Here's my first free traffic method:

1) Article marketing

This method is great for generating traffic to your blog. What you do is you write articles that relate to your blog and submit them to the article directories. Preferably you want to write the articles yourself, as no one knows your business better than you do. But if you're not a writer, you can outsource the writing to a freelancer.

No matter what you choose, your articles should be extremely beneficial to your target audience. The benefit here is that at the end of each article, you get to leave your blog information in the form of an "author byline". This is how people will visit your blog. After you've written your article, you want to submit them to the article directories. Here are a few that I use myself:

- ezinearticles.com
- articlesbase.com
- goarticles.com
- articledashboard.com
- ideamarketers.com

This method is fantastic for generating alot of traffic to your blog. Here's the other method that I highly recommend:

2) Forum Marketing

Forums contain people in your target audience all in one central location. All you have to do is join the community and provide your valuable content and insights related to your blog. This is a great way to become an expert in your niche. The more valuable information you share, the more people will want to find out more about you and the more visitors you will get to your blog.

One thing you want to make sure not to do is blatantly advertise your blog on the forum. This is an absolute no-no in the world of forums and is the fastest way to get banned from one. Stick with helpful information and ideas and the traffic will naturally come. It's only natural that this will happen.

Using these 2 traffic sources can provide you with recurring traffic for years to come. I highly suggest you start using them today.

blogging profit - 2 Easy Methods to Blog for Profit

If you go to a search engine and look for a certain topic, a lot of the search results that you will find are blogs about that particular topic. This is because a lot of people are now into blogging. They blog about all sorts of topics like the latest gadgets, new reality tv shows, weight loss products, coolest tourist destinations, home remedies, recipes and how to make money online. Bloggers write about these topics to promote their products, to help provide information to people or to just express their opinions. There also those who maintain a blog for profit.

There are various ways to blog for profit. You can do direct methods or indirect methods to earn money. Direct methods are those where earn money directly from your blog. These methods are advertising, selling your own products and commissioned reviews. Indirect methods are those where you earn because of your blog. Because of your blog, you build a certain reputation and authority about a certain field so people seek you out to speak about the topic or they ask you to become a consultant. They could also ask you to write for them about it.

Direct methods are usually what new bloggers bank on. As a new blogger, while you haven’t built your reputation yet, you can already earn from your blog through advertising or promoting products. But experienced and professional bloggers earn more from the service that they can provide because of their blog-derived reputation and not from the blog itself.

If you want to become like the latter, you really have to exert a lot of effort to make yourself known as an authority or an expert about a specific topic. It doesn’t happen overnight. You have to really do well to achieve that stature.
