The second thing you need to do is make sure that people actually want to read your blog posts, and that they are able to find your blog posts. That means two things. To find your posts people need to be able to find them in the search engines.

To make sure people can find you blog posts it is recommended that you perform some basic search engine optimization. Search engine optimization is a huge topic so if you don't know anything about it I recommend that you start by entering you main keyword into the title meta tag on your page and the keywords meta tag.

You also need to write in a style people want to read. That's the easy part, you just have to write like you talk. Nobody wants to read something that's in a highly polished formal style.
